In 1987 he began his own consulting
business teaching the staff members of one of the nation’s largest unions to
conduct effective arbitration hearings.
Law Advisory Group asked him to design police-school partnership
programs and train our trainers. In
the early 1990’s he became active in the pursuit of better results for
Special Education students. His
emphasis was on empowering schools to concentrate on transitioning students
from complete dependence to independence to the greatest degree possible. He is the legal advisor to the National
Association of School Safety and Law Enforcement Officials (NASSLEO) and the
author of “Safety, Order and Discipline in American Schools”, use by Law Advisory in its courses and by
colleges and universities in Criminal Justice courses. Over 150,000 copies are in
