Law Advisory Group's HISTORY AND
EXPERTISE
HISTORY In November, 1977, Patricia Holecek lost her husband, Jim, then Chief of Detectives in University Heights, Ohio, shortly after participated in a drug raid during which he collapsed. His death was classified as "line of duty", small comfort to the seven children he left behind. Today they carry a proud memory of their father, who had been a trainer for the Ohio Police Officers Training Academy, because their mother founded Law Advisory Group in his memory and today operates it in 39 states with three rigid rules: 1) No program is presented without the approval of one of our operational experts in that program area, be it school security, law or educational administration 2) When the program is designed, it must be customized to the law of the state where presented 3) Instructors must be qualified professionals, screened to make sure their presentations are entertaining and informative. Entertaining is important because people who are alert learn more! Now in its 25th year of operation, Law Advisory's instructors have trained over a quarter of a million educators and law enforcement officers. Law Advisory Group is a partner of the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies of Texas State University, the national trainer for National Association of School Safety and Law Enforcement Officials (NASSLEO), a cooperating agency with the National School Resource Officers Association (NASRO) and an affiliate of the National Association for Safe Schools (NASS).

Officer safety is a prime concern of Law Advisory under the watchful eye of James Magas, former SRO Supervisor and President of his own training group. Currently busy with other duties, former Asst.
