In 1977 I lost my husband, Jim, a police lieutenant, in the aftermath of a drug raid on a dealer to juveniles. Jim had been a trainer for the Ohio Police Officer Training Academy. Ten years later I decided to form a top-quality police training operation and asked one of Jim's friends, Gary Avery, a retired educator/attorney, to supervise research and train our trainers. . With no advertising except word of mouth, we started in Ohio, spread to 6 states in two years and now serve 39 states. Dr. Avery customizes our course or consulting output to your state law whenever we work with you.
Pat Holecek has asked me to develop some new Law Advisory programs in conjunction with her staff and my fantastic professional associates from around the U.S. And she has
asked that I blog at least a couple of times a week on important cases
and developments.

I'm a little apprehensive about that although, having been both a
police and school attorney I know that only a guy sitting in a position
such as mine could ever have the time to try to keep up with all
developments.
